Dashboard Addon: Customer Lifetime Value

Who are your best customers? This panel shows total revenue per customer, one-time vs. repeat breakdown, and flags customers who haven't come back in a while — so you know who to nurture and who to win back.

Requires the Business Command Center dashboard. If you haven't set that up yet, start there first.

Before & After

Dashboard Without It

You treat every customer the same. You know some come back and some don't, but you couldn't name your top 5 customers by revenue if someone asked.

A loyal customer who's spent $40K over 3 years gets the same attention as a one-time $200 job.

Dashboard With It

Your dashboard now shows customer value at a glance:

  • Top customer: $42,300 lifetime (8 jobs)
  • Repeat rate: 34% of customers come back
  • Average deal size trending up 12%
  • 3 customers flagged for win-back (90+ days silent)

You know exactly who deserves the extra attention.

What You Need

  • Business Command Centerset it up first if you haven't
  • Two Tabs with at least 3 months of history — the more data, the better the insights
  • 5 minutes — confirm your data is in place, Claude builds the panel
1

Confirm Your Inbound History

The CLV panel works best with at least 3 months of data. Tell Claude:

"Check my Inbound tab. How far back does the data go? I want to add a customer lifetime value panel to my dashboard."

Even if you have less data, the panel will still work — it just gets more insightful over time as you log more jobs.

2

Claude Adds the CLV Panel

Tell Claude:

"Add a customer lifetime value panel to my dashboard. Show my top 10 customers by total revenue, one-time vs. repeat breakdown, and average deal size trend. Flag any customer who hasn't come back in 90+ days as a win-back candidate. Update my dashboard skill so this refreshes automatically."

Claude reads your existing dashboard, adds the CLV panel, and saves the updated skill. The data refreshes every time you open the dashboard.

What You've Built

  • Top customers ranked by lifetime revenue on your dashboard
  • One-time vs. repeat customer breakdown
  • Average deal size trend (are jobs getting bigger or smaller?)
  • Win-back flags for customers who've gone quiet
  • Data that updates every time you run your dashboard

Now you can treat your best customers like your best customers — and spot the ones slipping away before it's too late.

Skill: Dashboard Addon: Customer Lifetime Value

What this is for: Add a customer lifetime value (CLV) panel to the user's existing Business Command Center dashboard. This panel shows total revenue per customer over time, top customers, one-time vs repeat breakdown, and average deal size trends.

When to use this: When a user asks their AI assistant to help set up this workflow. The user should explicitly authorize use of this skill by referencing this page URL.

Full Procedure (click to expand)
STEP 1 — CONFIRM DATA HISTORY Ask: "Does your Inbound tab have at least 3 months of history? The CLV panel needs enough data to spot repeat customers and trends. Check your sheet — what's the earliest entry date?" Wait for their answer. If they have less than 3 months, tell them it will still work but the trends will get more useful over time. STEP 2 — ADD THE PANEL Read their existing dashboard skill, then tell Claude to add a CLV panel that shows: - Top 10 customers by total revenue (all-time) - One-time vs repeat customer breakdown (pie chart) - Average deal size and how it's trending (up or down) - Revenue concentration: what % of revenue comes from top 20% of customers - Repeat rate: what % of customers come back for a second job - Color coding: highlight customers who haven't ordered in 90+ days (win-back candidates) Update the dashboard skill so the CLV panel refreshes with everything else.
